Carolyn Smyth Bsc (Chiropracitc) DC MCC

C

Undertakes work for major health insurance providers including BUPA, AXAPPP and HSA.

Carolyn qualified from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth in 1991. The first five years of her professional life were spent working at Blandford Chiropractic Clinic for its founder, Michael Copland-Griffiths. Following this she was invited to run her own practice within a busy medical centre in Poole, where she had a contract to provide chiropractic on the NHS, as well as seeing private patients. This gave her a broad base of experience in treating patients from many different backgrounds with a wide variety of conditions.

Carolyn really enjoyed working in this team environment, working closely with the GP’s and other health care professionals. However after 10 years, changes to the NHS funding prompted her return to practice in Blandford.

Having had 3 children of her own in recent years, Carolyn takes a keen interest in treating pregnancy related back pain and treating babies and children, using chiropractic and craniosacral techniques. Much of her post graduate education has been in these areas.

Research from the British Chiropractic Association found that over 32,000 people will visit a BCA chiropractor each month with injuries that are aggravated or caused by, a bad driving posture.
